LIKE CEDAR BARK, LIKE RAIN

These folks wanted deep, rich organic tones. They were looking for a downward rhythm, something vertical but also random — reminiscent of cedar bark or even of the falling rain they’d see out the windows on either side of the stove. They chose glazes that tend to be unpredictable in the heat of the kiln, in order to reflect the variability of nature.
